I am a 23 year old, a technical support engineer working for a software company based in Scotland.
I started serious running when I was 19; and that year I ran my first ultra. This ultra-marathon was the G2E; which I ran 2 more times since; and got addicted to long distances.
I was born in Hungary, and always had a fascination with wild places, travel and adventures. I found all of these things in ultra-running.
I absolutely love the Scottish Highlands. I have been camping and hiking around this area for years. This was one of the reasons I finally signed up for my first ultra-trail: the Highland Fling in 2017. After that, I run a few other races there, such as the Devil o’ The Highlands Ultra, Glencoe Marathon and the Fort William Marathon.
As for road ultras, I ran the Clyde Stride Ultra 2 times and the Glasgow to Edinburgh Ultra 3 times.
Why the WHW?
Trail running is where my heart is. I want to push myself to finally run 100 mile races, and experience all-night-running, as well as one of my long term goals is to run one of the UTMB races, and the WHW race a perfect preparation for that.
Aim for the race?
I just want to finish on time, and enjoy every second of this wild adventure.
