Born in Cheshire, moved California about 20 years ago “just for 3 years” and got stuck. Work as an immunologist at the University of California, San Francisco. Met my husband Rob/crew chief, also from Cheshire, at San Francisco Airport the day I arrived.

Ultra History

Started running at 30 after a bet with a lab mate. Completed my first ultra in 2005 and have since finished many more including ten different 100 mile races such as Leadville, Western States, Hardrock and UTMB, and adventures like the Grand Canyon Rim to Rim to Rim.

Why WHW?

I’m thrilled to get the opportunity to run the West Highland Way. I got to run part of the course with my cousin Mike a couple of years ago and I get to have my sister Elaine as my pacer for the first time.

Goals for the race:

Get to starting line in one piece, embrace every mile and bring home a goblet!
