Ronhill West Highland Way Race – a few changes

We have decided to make a few changes to the Ronhill West Highland Way Race for 2018, which I have summarised below:

·         The number of entries we will accept for the race will increase from 265 to 300.  Entries will continue to be open throughout November, with a ballot taking place if necessary in early December.  Once the 300 places have been filled no further entries will be accepted.

·         The entry fee will be £120 for members of scottishathletics or other UK governing bodies, and £122 for others.  We appreciate this has increased from the last few years, but reflects the ever increasing costs faced by the race.  Our objective remains to provide a high quality race each year that breaks even from a financial perspective.

·         We will no longer be holding a relay alongside the main race.  We have concluded that the level of medical support required by the relay was too high, and have decided to focus all our efforts on the main race.

In most other respects the race will be the same as in previous years; the 2018 race will take place on Saturday 23 June, starting at Milngavie Station at 1am.  Full entry details will be posted on the race website.
